Meet Gisele Tune of Gisele Tune Clothing in Studio City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gisele Tune.

Gisele, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
As a young child, I was always surrounded by fashion. My mother owned a trendy boutique in Los Angeles and my love for style grew as I spent countless afternoons in her store and acquired my own personal taste on buying trips to Paris. I enjoyed the glamour of the fashion industry and knew this was the profession I wanted to be a part of. In 1996, I decided to open my own store and there were virtually no contemporary woman’s boutiques in the Studio City, CA area. So, I took a chance on Ventura Boulevard and opened Gisele Tune Clothing. I have watched more boutiques pop up on Ventura Blvd and it feels good that I was able to really be the fashion pioneer for the area. 18 successful years later, I have been able to work with major studios, celebrities and outfit the areas most stylish woman.

I wanted my store to be like the “perfect closet” filled with all your most favorite articles of clothing. My store is warm and comfortable where my amazing staff makes sure that everyone is greeted at the door with a smile. Bring your dog or bring your best friend…everyone is welcome. The store is packed with a treasure load of stylish clothes that I have personally handpicked. Every season I continue to travel to Morocco, Paris, Italy and New York for the hottest trends so that all of my customers look awesome and feel fabulous. I have always had an eye for what the next hot trend is before it starts. I love to custom order clothes so that my clientele has original clothing that cannot be found anywhere else.

My personal style and spirit is truly the foundation for my business. I like to look fabulous and hip but comfortable at the same time. My personal “must haves” are great jeans, lightweight shirts, skull cashmere tanks, and cargo pants. The ultimate item for good karma is my logo…. The hamsa hand because it is a popular amulet sign that magically protects you from the evil eye.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Now it’s a bit of struggle. Times are different people are not spending like they used to. The internet has taken over where it’s so easy just to shop right at home. So I have more challenges in buying now. But I make it happen!!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Gisele Tune Clothing – what should we know?
My personal style and spirit is truly the foundation for my business. My ultimate “must haves” are great jeans, lightweight shirts, skull cashmere Sweaters, and the ultimate item for good karma is my logo and favorite item in the store, the Hamsa hand. Follow up and customer service.
