Thanks for sharing your story with us Gina. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
In 2014, I launched my webseries Gxpo TV. Gxpo stands for (Gina Exporsure). Gxpo TV features the hottest upcoming MC’s from the West Coast. Gxpo TV showcases artist’s skills in an annual cypher and interviews. As time progressed, I wanted to use my platform to promote myself, personality, and media broadcasting skills. This birthed the idea of Hoefessions.
Few individuals have been as influential and affluent within west coast hip-hop media and pop culture as media maverick, Gina Views. The host of LA’s staple late night YouTube series and podcast, “Hoefessions” fruitions charm, depth, and journalistic tact as she trollies user submitted stories of often salacious courting to viewers. Since February of 2019, anonymous hookups with athletes, rappers, and local celebrities have been harnessed into light-hearted entertainment by the cheeky reporter weekly, a noticeable transition from her signature GXPOTV rap cyphers and freestyles that vigorously scored the previous decade of LA rap. The sweat equity invested into the young women tuning in regularly for relationship and career advice, as well as even more personal matters such as feminine hygiene all lend to the notion that Gina has found in “Hoefessions” a jewel; one steeped in esteem, confidentiality, and femininity.
Has it been a smooth road?
No, it hasn’t been smooth but I’ve learned to use the bumps in the road as motivation. I’ve dealt with aggressive men, flakey artists, racism, financial problems, etc. While hosting, producing, and funding my show as a full-time employee and student.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I feel like our city is a great place for both of my platforms. While Gxpo TV provides artists a platform to showcase their skills, Hoefessions offers sexual education, feminine hygiene tips and touches on sensitive subjects that most are not comfortable with discussing. I would recommend someone starting out to begin in their home town.
