Today we’d like to introduce you to Gina Stone
Hi Gina, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always known since a young age I wanted to be an entertainer. My grandmother was big in the jazz music industry and she has always been an inspiration for me. Seeing her perform on stage would blow me away every time and made me realize that is where I want to be. As I got older I would always perform at family parties or school talent shows. Dancing and singing were always my passion, but as I’ve grown older and noticed how social media is now another form of expression where I can be myself and reach thousands, I’ve decided to put my all into my content.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s most definitely not been an easy road at all. I’ve had so many moments where I’ve thought to myself just quit or give up already it’s too late for you. I’ve contemplated many times going back and fourth but it wasn’t until my grandmother passed that I really sat and thought to myself alright enough is enough. I will push myself and prove to myself and my daughter that as long as you keep pushing yourself you can achieve what you put your mind to.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’ve decided to put my all into my content. Through my content I can reach many people that not only have my same interest in the music industry but also in the fashion and beauty industry. I get to engage with people who relate to my day to day life as being a mother as well. I’m proud I never gave up or let the negative thoughts get the best of me. I will continue to push myself to achieve the many goals I have for myself whether it be in the music, fashion, or beauty industry.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Never give up, always give it your all. If you have your mind set on a goal push yourself until you’ve achieved and then push yourself beyond that. Age is just a number and even if you may feel like it is too late for you, it never is!
