Meet George Ouzounian of THE OZ GROUP

Today we’d like to introduce you to George Ouzounian.

George, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Since I can remember, I always had a job that involved customer service relations and sales. In 2004, I made the conscious decision and commitment to pursue my passion in real estate. With the support of solid mentors around, I carved my own path focusing on client relationships and developers.

Prior to securing my real estate license, I spent nearly a decade as a mortgage broker, working with multiple large banks, as well as on short sales and foreclosures. As a result, I was able to quickly run numbers for my clients and accurately assess all sides of a deal, while my development experience has left me with a keen eye for quality and value.

CEO and Founder of The Oz Group, I sold more than $30 million in real estate in 2018 and was recognized by LA Business Journal and Top Agent Magazine. I am absolutely honored to be recognized as one of the most successful teams in Los Angeles. Bringing over 14 years of real estate experience, finance, and development experience, I am currently a licensed broker and a seasoned real estate investor at The Agency.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There was nothing easy about moving to the United States from another country not knowing the language. There were many hardships and challenges along the way. I had no other income and had to support my family. Real estate is a 100% commission-based business. Failure was not an option. The vision I had for my future, sparked interest with fellow peers who invested in me to get started. This was my one chance, and I took it. I spent countless days, nights and weekends working, studying and coaching to get to where I am today. I have worked hard to create industry relationships with other brokerages, agents, vendors, and affiliates and I feel that shows how I work with my clients.

Please tell us about your move to THE AGENCY.
The Agency is a full-service, luxury real estate brokerage and lifestyle company representing clients worldwide. Their approach has been highly successful representing many of the country’s most visible and high-end properties.

Real estate is the most substantial investment that one will make within their lifetime. A person may only purchase a home one time, and I want to put my knowledge to work for them. I specialize to provide every client a personalized and unique approach to their real estate needs and to exceed their expectations. I strive to build relationships that are for a lifetime, not just one transaction.

My mission is to provide the finest real estate services available, based on the highest standards of ethics, value and commitment to client care. I strongly believe it is not only my duty to represent my clients to the best of my ability, but to educate them through every step of the process so they can make the most informed decisions possible. I am a true believer in the American Dream, and I love nothing more than helping other families achieve their goal of homeownership. After all, this is what makes my job all worth it.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
One of my favorite childhood memories was taking small paid jobs in our neighborhood helping the elderly. This taught me how to be independent. Those moments in my childhood might seem small, but they have made hard work a significant part of who I am today.
