Meet George Hakopian of Treasured Photo Booths & Events in Burbank

Today we’d like to introduce you to George Hakopian.

Thanks for sharing your story with us George. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
About 5 years ago, our friends had a photo booth business that they ran in the Temecula area. We experienced their photo booth and thought it created so much fun to the party. We were convinced that photo booths were soon going to be a staple in everyone’s events and that it would be a good idea to start a photo booth business in the Los Angeles area.

We had our first booth custom built and pretty soon that booth was booked practically every weekend so we decided to expand. We currently have 5 different booth design options as well as Step & Repeat Photo Booth experiences.

Sure enough, the photo booth has become something that pretty much every event has now and we’re glad to be a part of it.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has been a fairly smooth ride getting to where we’re at but there were definitely bumps in the road. Early on, it was a bit difficult to get our name out in the events industry because photo booths still weren’t that popular. Customers weren’t completely convinced it was something that would help their event.

Now, because photo booths are so popular and there are so many different kinds, our main challenge is to keep up with all the changing technologies so we can continue to be in the forefront of the business.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Treasured Photo Booths & Events – what should we know?
Our company started off exclusively providing photo booths for events. We have traditional enclosed photo booths, open-air booths, and step & repeat booths. We soon expanded to providing other events services such as photography, bartending, videography, DJ’s, lighting, etc. But our main pride is in our booths.

The thing we are most proud of is definitely our emphasis on customer service. Often times people expect a photo booth company to just deliver a booth and leave it there unattended until the event is finished. We are completely the opposite. All of our booths have two attendants that work the entire event ensuring that all the guests are having a great time.

We definitely pride ourselves in that, and our reviews reflect it. We absolutely love knowing our clients and their guests are able to create memories through our booths.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I’m pretty sure both me and my business partner (Manuel Saghbazarian) would give the biggest credit to our wives. They supported us from the beginning when it was difficult and we were gone almost every weekend for maybe two years straight.

Their support and encouragement kept us going. They both definitely played a crucial role in our business coming together and succeeded.
