Meet Galit Brem of Flower-Synergy in Irvine

Today we’d like to introduce you to Galit Brem.

Galit, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was always attracted to flowers, as long as I can remember, since I was a young girl living in Israel. I started my floral career at the age of 14, selling flowers on the street corner, I would start right after school and spend my entire weekend and holidays designing simple bouquets for customers and selling them curbside. After completing my landscaping architectural design studies, I worked designing gardens and floral projects for municipalities. In 2006 our family moved to sunny southern California. In Irvine, as a mother to 3 kids, I enrolled in pottery classes at the local arts center; I loved it so much that I decided to combine my two passions into a unique product offer -Flower Arrangements in Hand Crafted Pottery – a one of a kind gift where the recipient can use the pottery as a coffee mug or a salad bowl after the flowers expire. My inspirations and influences are European Middle Eastern, with strong artistic motives, I love to use fruits and vegetables in my arrangements to make my designs special to me.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I am fortunate that my passion and profession are one. I enjoy every moment and I let my journey expand day-by-day; so far I am enjoying a smooth ride seeing my business grow year after year. Starting as a one woman show, about six years ago, today we are a team of four, enjoying every day delivering happiness and love to people in our community

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Flower-Synergy – what should we know?
What we do is unique in the floral industry. Along with our handcrafted pottery, Flower-Synergy is not a monopoly, it is run by only two, experienced and artistically driven, florists. Our flower arrangements are also available in other commercial vases, I select beautiful vases from global sources. We like to see it with the slogan, “Enjoy the flowers and keep the pottery or vases for a lifelong memory.”

We are proud to be combining two local arts — flower arrangement and hand crafted pottery into beautiful gifts. The customer can select pottery from a large selection of pots, bowl, pitchers, teapots and more, all made locally in southern California by myself or other local artists. Then, once the ideal piece of pottery is picked, the customer is enabled to choose a matching flower arrangement for a one of a kind gift. The pottery serves as a long lasting memory, and appreciation for the gift.

We are very proud that our customers love our style. We often hear comments of how we are different than any other florist, our customers return rate is what makes us proud and happy to be in the studio. For us, every customer means the world. Many things set us apart; Our level of service has no comparison, we send our customers a picture of their arrangement when it’s ready, just before it leaves the studio and another text message when it is delivered, our customers are confident that what they ordered is exactly what their recipient received.
