Meet Gabrielle Roussos of Oui Productions in Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabrielle Roussos.

Gabrielle, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles. During college, I started working in production, assisting a director, working as a PA/Runner and eventually a wardrobe assistant for commercials, television, and film. After a while I made the leap into fashion, working in design and production for various boutique brands before landing a long time position at a big LA based denim company. There, I started as an assistant to the Creative Director and worked my way up to producer, managing over 500 shoots per year from advertising to e-commerce and becoming an integral part of the image creation process. After 5 years as an in-house producer, I made the difficult decision to leave and start my own business.

Has it been a smooth road?
My journey has been one of self-discovery. Admittedly, it has not always been easy. Starting as a young woman in a predominately male-dominated industry can be an overwhelming experience and often in my early years, I struggled to assert myself. Through hard work and a commitment to excellence, I have paved my own path in a way that does not compromise who I am. I have built a reputation based on my personal values, developed lasting and meaningful relationships and I take pride in my work speaking for itself.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Oui Productions story. Tell us more about the business.
Oui Productions is a creative production company .  From full service production and creative services to co-op networking and an in-house studio, every element of Oui prioritizes trust, transparency and teamwork over transactions. We’ve thoughtfully and carefully designed a one-stop-shop, staying on our toes to put the world at your fingertips.

Our bespoke approach to the production process and abundance mindset are really what set us apart from the competition. We focus on collaboration as the key to creation and pride ourselves on building positive and lasting relationships.

Our combined in-house and agency experience provide a comprehensive and unique insight to the needs of our clients and while Oui means YES, production is not a one size fits all endeavor; our ideal client matches our level of engagement to realize true partnership.

With our exceptional teams, diverse service offerings and personal touch we are an accessible resource for clients of all sizes.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Working in photo and video production is an ever-changing landscape. Over the years, I’ve watched the shift away from traditional forms of advertising towards newer and alternative media. The emergence of social media and mobile accessibility has opened a new and exciting range of possibilities and it has been an innovative experience. Even as the industry changes, I think there will always be a demand for large cross functional campaigns. The ability to diversify your experience in handling projects large and small is the key to success. As consumers change, evolution is everything!
