Today we’d like to introduce you to Fox and Jeff Garza.
Fox and Jeff, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Were married and we started Foxhole in 2011. Fox is a denim designer, tailor, and is obsessed with denim. Jeff is an Army Veteran and has always been a wanderer and a collector. We make lots of stuff from recycled materials and have been doing so since before we ever met. We recycle a lot of denim and make things for people that happen only once like custom pillows, blankets, dog/cat beds, grocery bags, and more! We sell vintage and we offer repair/tailoring services for DENIM ONLY. Doesn’t have to be from our shop for us to work on it either. Bring things from home or from the swap meet or brand-new ones with tags well work on it all. Fox can tailor, repair, or customize your DENIM however you dream!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth Sailing because were an amazing “team” and we love what we get to do. Work can’t suck too bad when you truly love what you do. You make mistakes no matter what here and there in life, learn the lesson from it, adjust and keep on rolling!
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about The Foxhole – what should we know?
We sell vintage clothing but what we’re really known for is having Fox tailor/repair/customize people’s denim. We’ve been making household good’s out of recycled denim since before we officially became Foxhole too! What sets us apart is we do all the sewing and tailoring in house ourselves. It allows us to still be able to connect with our customers on a genuine level & most customers quickly turn into friends. We take a lot of pride in being a traditional mom and pop neighborhood shop. We live here and we work here and we love our neighborhood!
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Teamwork, self-discipline, & excellent communication makes a great recipe no matter what you’re cookin!
