Today we’d like to introduce you to Fernando Justo.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Josh and I were 9 years old when destiny—and a chaotic Little League draft—threw us on the same team. Two scrawny kids with oversized gloves and even bigger opinions about the Dodgers. One of us thought Matt Kemp was the GOAT. The other thought Andre Ethier was criminally underrated. The argument still continues to this day.
Somehow, between sunflower seed spitting contests and trying not to get hit by pitches, we became best friends. And from that point on, if the Dodgers were playing, we were watching — yelling, pacing, losing our voices, and probably annoying everyone within a 3-mile radius.
One day, after yet another playoff heartbreak, we looked at each other mid-rant and said, “Why aren’t we recording this?” Because let’s be honest — our reactions were too insane not to be shared.
And when we tried coming up with a name, we thought, “What perfectly describes two lifelong Dodger fans yelling at their TVs, full of passion and occasionally some very choice words?”
Dodgers Explicit. Boom. It was the first name we thought of and somehow, still the best.
Now we’re here — two childhood best friends who turned their obsession into a channel. If you love the Dodgers like we do (and you don’t mind the occasional F-bomb), welcome aboard. It’s gonna be a wild ride.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Starting Dodgers Explicit wasn’t some overnight success story. It was two best friends—me and Josh—who knew we had something special, but also knew we were stepping into a space already packed with heavy hitters. There were already massive Dodgers media accounts out there. Big followings. Big productions. Big everything.
We were just two dudes with iPhones, passion, and a whole lot of opinions.
At the beginning, it was tough. Really tough. We’d post videos that got 12 views — and 6 of those were probably us refreshing the page. We’d spend hours editing a clip, only for the algorithm to treat it like it never existed. We questioned everything. Were we late to the game? Were we just yelling into the void?
But every time we’d think about quitting, we’d go right back to what started it all: our love for the Dodgers and our friendship. This wasn’t just about going viral or blowing up. It was about being real — about giving fans like us a space to feel everything this team makes us feel. The highs. The heartbreaks. The chaos. The couch-punching. The screaming. The unfiltered truth.
We knew we were different — not polished, not perfect, but passionate. And we knew there had to be other fans out there just like us. Slowly but surely, they started to find us. One by one. Comment by comment. Share by share.
Now, we’re still grinding — still underdogs, still learning — but every challenge we faced made us hungrier, scrappier, and more connected to the people who support us.
So if you’re here now, just know: this wasn’t easy. It still isn’t. But it’s real. And that’s what Dodgers Explicit will always be about.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We create reaction videos, stadium reviews and anything baseball really.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
When people ask what defines Dodgers Explicit, I always come back to three core things: we’re real, we’re loud, and we’re here to make people laugh.
Being real is non-negotiable for us. From day one, me and Josh built this on honesty — raw reactions, real emotions, and zero sugarcoating. If the Dodgers walk it off in the 9th, you’re getting pure joy. If they blow a lead in the 8th, you’re getting full-blown chaos. Our viewers don’t tune in for polished media speak — they come for the unfiltered passion of two lifelong fans who live and die with every pitch.
Second, we want to grow Dodger fans into louder Dodger fans. The kind who aren’t afraid to rep the team, speak their mind, and wear their fandom like a badge. Whether you’ve been watching since the days of Vin Scully or you just hopped on during the World Series run, you’re welcome here. Our content is about creating a space where fans feel empowered to be just as crazy about this team as we are.
And third — we’re here to entertain. If you’re not laughing at some point, we’re not doing our job right. Whether it’s roasting our own takes, breaking down moments with wild analogies, or throwing in a little chaos for the algorithm, we keep things humorous because baseball should be fun. And Dodger baseball? Even more so.
Those three things — being real, being loud, and being funny — aren’t just qualities of our content. They’re who we are. It’s not a strategy. It’s just us.
