Meet Feri Ebrahimi

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Feri Ebrahimi. Feri was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Sheryl Benjy.

Feri , can you walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My entire life I’ve been a seeker and looking for answers to life’s biggest questions. I always knew that I have a specific purpose in this life but I struggled to find that purpose. When I was in my mid-20’s, I started doing yoga at my local gym just as exercise. Then I fell in love with yoga and started doing it religiously. A few years later, I started to have visions of becoming a yoga teacher but I consistently quieted the voices because I didn’t believe I could do it. Eventually, the voices became so loud that I couldn’t avoid this next step. I eventually took the leap and went to yoga teacher training. During training, I realized that this is one of the paths that I have been searching for my entire life. After training, I dedicated my career to sharing the benefits of yoga with the people around me. Teaching and sharing yoga has been a great source of inspiration and joy in my life.

Please tell us more about your brand, Yoga by Feri
I teach group and private yoga classes. I also lead yoga retreats for women. I believe that one aspect of my teaching business that is unique is that yoga is a spiritual experience for me and I teach from that same channel. So students often have an elevated spiritual experience in my classes. As a brand, I am most proud of maintaining authentic and genuine energy and offering yoga from a deep and spiritual place.

So, as we mentioned to our audience earlier, you were introduced to us by Sheryl Benjy and we really admire them and what they’ve built. For folks who might not be as familiar, can you tell them a bit about your experience with Sheryl.
Sheryl and I met approx 11 years ago when she was teaching art to my daughter. It was around the same time that I graduated from teacher training. Sheryl would teach art to the kids in the backyard and I would teach the moms yoga in the living room…:) That was the beginning of a really beautiful friendship and collaboration. What was most interesting about Sheryl and I is that our paths in art and yoga (respectively) seemed to move in parallel paths. We supported each other in all of the ups and downs of this journey. In 2016 we co-hosted our first Yoga and Art retreat in Ojai, CA. We supported each other thru this first retreat and it was such a big accomplishment and a huge learning experience. Over the years, Sheryl and I co-hosted several retreats and workshops together. Thru these experiences, we have both grown tremendously. Sheryl has developed a beautiful way of connecting with people and helping them tap into their inner artists. She helps people embrace their creativity and release their personal judgments. She is also a very intuitive artist and this sense of intuition really comes out when she does her “Body Art for the Soul”. I have done three body art sessions with her. After each session, I discovered something new about myself and my inner beauty in the photographs that she took! She uses images and connects with her clients/students in a way that embodies their true essence and brings healing to their lives.
