Meet Fabrice Gautier of LA Main Physical Therapy in Beverly Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fabrice Gautier.

A CHILD’S DREAM TO A MAN’S PURPOSE

Born and raised in France, an active lifestyle was ingrained in his family. As a kid, Fabrice saw how family, passion, fun, and health translated to sports. At a very young age, he learned from a basketball magazine about Magic Johnson and a French player that also was a Physical Therapist. He turned into Magic Johnson’s biggest fan. Admiring his human side and great skills as a player, he was inspired to pursue his dream of representing his country and playing with the Lakers. He played basketball in France and USA. He studied physical therapy in Paris and while playing basketball he got injured. This is when osteopathic therapy complemented his PT and was able to go on playing rugby and serving in the military. With osteopathic therapy as his newfound passion, he felt very optimistic and knew he had to come to Los Angeles to improve and redirect his childhood dream with his calling of helping others.

He also turned into a family man that genuinely cares not only of his own family and friends but also of the people he works with. His Physical Therapy Thesis gained recognition, in 2003 he opened L.A. Main Physical Therapy and along the way started working with professional athletes on top of regular patients.

Fabrice Gautier works with professional athletes from various sports, as well as people from all walks of life and ages. Fabrice Gautier has traveled around the world to work with Rudy Gobert, Giancarlo Stanton, Carmelo Anthony, Joakim Noah, Tony Parker, Kevin Love, Victoria Azarenka, and private clients. He’s also served as the French National Basketball Team’s Osteopath since 2009 and worked with both, men’s and women’s team, at the 2012 Olympics.

Not your typical sport’s professional that only sees athletes at their considered prime age; Fabrice is someone that, besides having that specialty and experience with top professional athletes and teams, also sees many patients from different walks of life. This forges an invaluable wisdom that equips him with unprecedented understanding towards the mindset, techniques, and tools. Plus, he works with an extended, trusted and proven network to offer a wholesome restructuring towards the goals to be achieved. Life changing shifts occur even towards athletes’ expectations because he has accomplished that kind of results at all ages and conditions.

“I see people not a patient with a condition or need. It’s a process of constant exchange and learning of body, mind, and soul. For the last 20 years, a three weeks old baby to a 75 years old man coming into my office living his life always worried that something not good was gonna happen until I told him: Why don’t you think something better is going to happen? And at that moment we started a snowball effect towards the best version of himself.”

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Coming from France, I had to redo pretty much all my studies, even general education like philosophy or history in order to pass my California physical therapy license and get my green card.

I remember starting seeing my first patients on my dining room table assembled from an as-is wooden table from Ikea, I had to had a quilt and pillow to make at least a bit comfortable.

when I finally got my license and opened my practice things pretty much went very well and smoothly from there just working hard and trying to help as many people as possible.

LA Main Physical Therapy – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I created LA Main Physical Therapy, in 2003 with my wife Alexandra.

I have specialized myself in working with some of the best professional athletes in the USA, I fly to them during their season to ” tune them up” like a body mechanic.

My nickname on Instagram and around the athletes is the flying osteopath.

I also see them during their offseason when they come to LA, NBA, NHL, MLB, NFL, tennis and even some soccer players coming from Europe to work with me in LA during their offseason.

Part of my job includes a lot of traveling as a consultant as well.

We are often described as one of the best-kept secret in LA by a lot of our known or unknown patients.

We are very proud that we offer the same service to everyone professional athletes or like I love to call them everyday athletes of life and that we exclusively build our clientele from word of mouth.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Moving from a different country and being an immigrant I define success on how well we feel we integrated into the LA way of life, we actually recently became American. How we were able to build a very stable family within all of us trying hard to reach for our goals, exemplified by my beautiful wife who lost a 12o lbs after her two pregnancy, found her passion into salsa and became amateur world champion of Chacha this year at 45 years old, myself pursuing my dreams of helping winning championships, Olympic medals with my athletes or my country and my teenage kids reaching and working hard for their own dreams…that pursuit of happiness.
