Today we’d like to introduce you to Eva Ford

Hi Eva, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
How I fell into reading Tarot was truly in the cards. Looking back, I realize that I have always been intuitive. As a child, I had a crew of imaginary friends, and experienced vivid prophetic dreams. As a teenager, my best friend and I found her father’s book about manifesting, and I learned how to create almost anything I wanted from good grades to a prom date. In my 20’s in New York, a short subway ride would feel energetically overwhelming, regardless of the number of passengers. As I got older, these skills became more refined, but I had no idea how to cope with the ups and downs of being in tune. Years later, I had a tarot reading with a gentleman named Ross. I was at a low point, and my friend recommended that I get a reading for some clarity. Ross’ reading blew my mind, leaving me hopeful and empowered. I made it a point to visit him again, and at the end of that reading, Ross said, “You know you can do this, too.” “Oh, come on,” I thought, but you know something? He was right, and then I dove right into learning the magic of Tarot.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The main challenge for me was how to trust what I was telling people! After I completed an extensive course in reading Tarot, the final hurdle was having confidence in this new aspect of my intuitive abilities. Initially, conveying messages through the imagery of 78 cards with various meanings was daunting. However, I knew I just had to believe in the divine guidance I was receiving. The magic happened when clients reported back about their readings and what came true. That validation only fueled my desire to help more people through tarot. Once I committed to that decision, everything started to fall perfectly into place.

As you know, we’re big fans of Le Petit Tarot. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Like most people in Hollywood, I have a passion project, and mine is reading Tarot. I love the history and the imagery of the cards, and I am fascinated with how they fall into place to tell a story about the past, present and future. Coupling this skill with my work experience has allowed me to successfully build this business. The foundation of my whole career is interacting with people. From when I was a hostess at an Irish Bar in New York, to a fundraiser in San Francisco and Los Angeles, and all the jobs in between, I have always enjoyed listening to people, learning about what they love, and empathizing when they are experiencing a rough time. Now, I have developed ways to convey information from Tarot readings to effectively collaborate with clients on discovering a path for their highest good. And, for clients who are in a low moment, I make it a personal mission to provide them with empowering suggestions to give them some relief and confidence.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
In addition to Ross, who planted the Tarot seed, I also give credit to my coach and very dear friend, Terry, who helped me take Le Petit Tarot from a concept to an actual business. Without her guidance, I would have given up. My family and friends have been incredibly supportive along the way, and have allowed me to read for them, their family and their pets. Without their support, I wouldn’t have been able to read for new clients. Last, and certainly not least, are my clients. There is no way that I could even attempt this work without their trust. Nothing has been more fun than visiting with them and hearing about how their lives have unfolded since their readings. The good news is incredible. The sad news is what it is, but it also provides us with an opportunity to find ways to heal and to get back on track. I am fortunate to share this gift with so many people, and I am grateful to everyone who has joined me on this journey.
