Meet Estiatorio Louká

Today we’d like to introduce you to Estiatorio Louká.

Estiatorio, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
We have been working on this concept for quite some time, it is our interpretation of an authentic Greek restaurant in a modern yet timeless setting. We essentially wanted to combine traditional Greek cuisine with a modern and edgy twist, as the current dining scene in Greece so gracefully offers.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We have had a great opening, we are fortunate to have a strong and knowledgeable team. I would have to say our biggest struggle was probably getting a location on Canon Drive in the first place.

This was our most desirable block for the concept, it is so timeless, with a great neighborhood vibe and where we frequent as consumers ourselves. When the space became available we knew we were up against much bigger restaurant groups. After many meetings, the concept spoke for itself and we are grateful for the opportunity.

Please tell us about Estiatorio Louká.
Louká is more than just a business to us, it is a means to showcase Greek culture, food, art, music, and most importantly hospitality.

Every detail was so thought out, from the imported marble slabs, the hand-selected fabrics, and custom chairs and tables. All our art is by Greek artists, and many of our ingredients in the kitchen are sourced directly from Greece, including the cheeses, olive oil, oregano, olives, and even salt.

We are proud to showcase amazing wines from Greece, along with Greek spirits and dessert wines. All the details came together to create an intimate and one of a kind experience.

How do you, personally, define success? What’s your criteria, the markers you’re looking out for, etc?
The restaurant business is both a career and a passion, as we are sure all restauranteurs would agree. It is a business first and foremost, a successful restaurant is defined by its numbers and percentages as any other business model.

On a more personal level, we are so proud of Louká, so much went into this restaurant and watching it all come together as we opened was an experience like nothing else.

The atmosphere, food, vibe, and team is everything we envisioned, and we will always feel successful in creating our version of a true Greek restaurant.
