We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The main obstacle has been introducing the mnmMOD building system into the market and educating the public on using green building techniques. In America, traditional wood beam structure dominates the market and it is very difficult for the public to grasp the green alternative.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up in Iceland where the environment is constantly changing – with the endless sun during summer and dark winter where the snow and northern lights bright up the darkness – we had to learn to adapt to nature’s constant change. Iceland’s changing landscape coupled with a deep-seated love and profound respect for nature led us to be open minded and think about a better way of building. With mnmMOD that is exactly what we are doing just on a grander scale.
