Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin-Elizabeth Miller.
Erin-Elizabeth, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started my blog ErinElizabeth.me in November 2017. I longed for something meaningful and creative to do in between auditions and bookings. I’ve always had a deep appreciation for nature and its creatures. So, I made a place where everyone could find the best fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands that go above and beyond to make a difference in our world. ErinElizabeth.me has grown over the last two years to shine a spotlight on brands, places, and products that are ethical, more sustainable, or striving to make a better impact on our planet overall. Ultimately, more than anything, I just want to live a good life. Being good to others, being good to our earth, being good to myself, and sharing that goodness with everyone I can.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I think most creative people struggle in some way for their “art”. Whether it’s painting, writing, composing, in this scenario- blogging. I thought about starting a blog for a long time before I actually did it. It has definitely been a massive labor of love, a lot of planning, corresponding, the interviews, curating interesting and dynamic shoots, editing, actually writing the article, etc. At the same time, all of that has enriched my life in more ways than I could have imagined. My biggest obstacle has been, and will always be myself. Perhaps this is the ultimate lesson in starting something of your own. You just have to do it, get out of your own way and move forward. I look back at all the work I’ve put into this and I’m really proud of myself. In hindsight, I only wish I would’ve started sooner.
What are your best known for?
I believe I’m now best known for all things ethical and eco-friendly. I’m proud to use my social media platforms with purpose.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have started everything way sooner. If there is something you’ve thought about doing, but haven’t yet – THIS IS YOUR SIGN, I’m telling you right now – get it going!
