Hi Eric J., can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hello There!
Names Eric J. Blanco-L., though you might know me as Jango L.
I’m a 29-year-old entertainment specialist based in Los Angeles, California, and I’m thrilled to share my journey with you!

My path has been anything but ordinary. I began with foundational experiences at NBC/Univision during my internship years, took bold steps as a background actor on productions like Betty en NY, and made a cross-country leap from Miami to LA to turn dreams into reality. I’ve turned hardships into opportunities, adapting to the challenges like COVID and emerging as a Broadcast Host. Now a day, I’m even tackling my greatest competition head on… the cutting-edge field of Artificial Intelligence.

Just reaching my late twenties, I can proudly say that this is just the beginning!

Driven by purpose, I’ve always sought to create my own opportunities rather than conforming to societal norms. Life has so far blessed me with all sorts of experiences that will forever stick with me; like striving to join the Air Force since prior to ROTC and passing all the tests and physicals with flying colors, then forcing myself to switch gears and become a full blown Automotive Technician working on cars as the next baddest and fastest thing when my lack of 20/20 vision blew any chance of joining force right out of the air for me. I’ve worked retail, kitchens, wineries, bartending, you name it! Each step has shaped my multifaceted career. These experiences have made me the dynamic force I am today.

Currently, I spend my days working as an AI Specialist, developing and training Artificial Intelligence. My afternoons range from editing to submitting auditions and my evenings are devoted to media work; hosting live broadcasts, launching a YouTube channel, engaging on social media, and preparing for the next big project. Despite my multimedia focus, my primary goal remains acting and entertainment, which seems to be closer than ever…

With an AA in Writing and two BFAs in Cinema with a focus on Directing, alongside rigorous training at institutions like The Los Angeles Actors Institute, I am ready to take on new challenges. My journey from Florida to LA was a leap of faith, and with a supportive network behind me, I am driven to give back, speak up, and inspire others.

As I continue to evolve, you can expect to see me shine in new roles across social media, commercials, films, and beyond. Stay tuned for exciting developments, including a fresh entry into the Voice Acting field and other intriguing projects.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’m not gonna sit here and say the journey has been milk and cookies the entire time, it rarely is…
But I genuinely love what I do, and it’s an honor to continue pursuing my passions. The truth is, no matter whether your dream is to become an actor, a lawyer, or even the president of the United States, you have to make a choice and commit to that path. Every choice comes with its own set of challenges and obstacles. So, choose something you love and make sure that passion fuels you through the tough times. The difficulties will come, but if you’re deeply invested in what you’re doing, the struggle will feel a bit more manageable.
Remember, while life can be tough, it’s our responsibility to be even tougher.

On a personal note, as someone who moved to LA from out of state without a network of support here and chose a career in acting and entertainment of all things… I’ve encountered my share of unique challenges. Being a 5’11” brown Spanish mixed male with long hair, piercings, tattoos and a distinct personal style has its own set of hurdles. But I’ve faced these challenges head-on, and I continue to adapt and evolve daily. I’m not just navigating these trials; I’m embracing them with excitement and a sense of adventure.

Despite any ups and downs, I maintain a positive, professional, and welcoming attitude. My goal is to bring the best energy I can to everything I do and everyone I work with. I believe that when people get to know me, they see this commitment and it elevates our connections to a new level.
Being inspired is wonderful… but having the ability to inspire others is truly beautiful.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Like many talents in the entertainment industry, my work varies greatly on daily. I juggle a mix of responsibilities to stay active and engaged in my field, from essential day-to-day tasks to personal projects and future endeavors.

By day, I focus on training and optimizing artificial intelligence. This involves everything from fine-tuning how AI systems think, speak, and design, to addressing security risks and preparing models for their public debut and even keeping up with them post release. It’s a fascinating field that keeps me on the cutting edge of technology.

By night, I become the Ghost Rider… (kidding).
Beyond AI, I stay busy with directing and documenting various projects. Whether it’s shooting commercials, creating videos, or guiding others through the stages of pre-production, production, and post-production. I genuinely enjoy helping bring different productions to life.

On a more personal level, my true passion lies in developing my talent. I dedicate countless hours into honing my craft, whether that’s navigating submissions, tackling scripts, auditioning for roles, or creating my own productions when opportunities are scarce. This creative journey is where my heart truly lies. I strive to fully immerse myself in storytelling and expression.

Looking ahead, the horizon is brimming with exciting possibilities.
From recent signings, live broadcasts to exploring voice acting and game development, I’m eager to explore new avenues. The opportunity to blend these diverse elements into my work not only helps me stand out but also fuels my fire and enthusiasm.

I’m excited to push even harder and achieve being featured in beloved shows, movies, games, and animations. Meanwhile, I will continue to produce quality content with passion and dedication through my personal channels. Eventually I will look back, take a deep breath, and say, “We did it” before taking a well-deserved beat.

Though the goal is simply to do what I love, love what I do and show others that they can get there as well…
I will gladly be a “grower” and a “shower” in the name of the people and hope!

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
My perspective on luck isn’t quite conventional.
While I acknowledge that being in the right place at the right time (or even the wrong place) can influence outcomes, I don’t believe that chance alone determines success…

To me, what we often call “luck” is more accurately the result of meticulous preparation and hard work meeting a moment of opportunity. It’s not just about the serendipity of timing; it’s about being thoroughly equipped and ready to seize the moment when it arises. So yes, the right place at the right time can play a role, but it’s only part of the equation.

True “luck,” as I see it, is when extensive preparation converges with an opportune moment, making it seem effortless to outsiders. In my journey, I don’t rely on luck in the traditional sense of wishful thinking or dreaming. Instead, I believe in creating my own opportunities through preparation and perseverance.
“The most important thing isn’t can you read music, it’s can you hear it?”

As I continue to prepare and strive for what’s ahead, I’m excited about the possibilities that await my arrival…
