Meet Eran Lagstein of Lagstein Law Firm in Century City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eran Lagstein.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I graduated UCLA School of Law and opened up my law firm in 2005. I knew early on that I wanted to be my own boss and that I would eventually have my own law firm. I also knew that I wanted to practice in a field of law that would enable me to represent real people, with real problems, who needed effective representation, and I wanted to be able to try cases in court. My practice has grown to also represent businesses who have been damaged by the conduct of others. The bottom line among all my cases is that I believe in them.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being a litigator — a lawyer who fights for you in court — is a difficult and demanding job. Our legal system is an adversarial one, meaning that the parties oppose one another, each one trying to win. I believe that you can do your job, and do it very effectively, by being kind, considerate, and respectful. Some lawyers, unfortunately, believe that they have to bully, beat their chests, and threaten to be effective. That is not my philosophy.

Please tell us about Lagstein Law Firm.
I am the owner of Lagstein Law Firm, a boutique law firm specializing in representing people and businesses in court. We practice personal injury, labor and employment, professional malpractice, and business and commercial litigation.

I am proud of our level of talent, effectiveness, and tenacity. We strive to practice law at a level that elevates it and that restores faith in the justice system. And we simply do not give up.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Spending time with my grandparents — treasure them while they are around. You will miss them tremendously one day.
