Today we’d like to introduce you to Elita Galiamova.
Elita, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I always had passion for animals since I was child. 13 years ago, finally I got my own 1st dog, little adorable cute Yorkie. His name was Mers, unfortunately Mers had Epilepsy and every time I would take him to the groomers my little pup would have seizures so I started to groom him myself. I didn’t know anything about grooming as I remember today I got pair of scissors that hairdressers would use and I dive into cutting, shaving and making art from fluffy fur. As I understand today, I did everything wrong but I really enjoyed it and I decided to change my carrier from Interior Designer to Dog Groomer. I wanted to help scared poor little creatures like my Mers to feel their best. I make every dog that comes to me feel as comfortable as they can be during grooming process it is why I do one pooch at the time so everyone gets personal attention.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It wasn’t a smooth road to be where I am today, it took hard work, patience and time. I am originally from Lithuania, I lived in Italy for a while but my dream always was to live in United States. To be Certified Dog Groomer in California you don’t need to have any Grooming License, but I wanted to be different, I wanted to be the best I can in that I do. I went to Grooming school to get Certificate of Completion for Bathing and Grooming and I didn’t stop here. After that I got certificate after certificate, I was expanding my knowledge and I still do until today.

* I completed the program: Temporary Color and Accessories with CGA Creative Groomers Association.

Dog grooming is important part of every pooch life. Pet parents need understand if they want to keep their pups happy and healthy they need to groom them every 4 – 6 weeks. I love to educate people and share my knowledge I build relationship not only with dogs but with their beloved owners too, every customer for me is friend and family member. I love when people appreciate everything I do, they worry and rejoice in every grooming competition or seminar I go. I have Instagram page with over 15.000 people that follow my everyday adventures. People love to see happy doggos that enjoys to be in my care.

What were you like growing up?
I was smart kid, when I was ten I already spoke three languages, right now I speak 5: Lithuanian, Russian, Italian, Spanish and of course English. I always was artistic person, I loved to drawn, paint, make different kind of art projects. I think it helps me to see through dirty matted fur, vision, transformation how I want dog look like when I am done doing my magic.
