Meet Eliona Cela of Toast Party Rentals in Santa Monica

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eliona Cela.

Eliona, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
They met, fell in love, got engaged, quit their jobs, spent all their money traveling … and then began to plan their wedding. With no money and visions of a wedding full of sentimental meaning and charm…..and lots of pretty things, Jackie & Shaun, began to collect items that would eventually create the backdrop for one of the happiest days of their lives.

And now, that collection has grown. The days passed Jackie & Shaun decide to explore new adventures and Toast became the gem and inspiration for another couple, Eli & TJ. With them Toast is growing and becoming even more of a special place where you can find unique pieces coming from all over the world, vintage, retro’ and antique. Eli has a strong passion for vintage finds. Her multicultural background gives Toast a different taste. Her Italian soul mixed with a Belgium vintage design passion will bring to your event sparkling ideas and exceptional details. Tj is her right hand and nothing will be possible without him making every idea a reality.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Toast has been a great inspiration for several couples and for me as well. I grow with Toast and every day is a new discovery but it is not easy, making every event special and unique requires dedication and a lot of team work.

From the social media to the photo shoot, from weddings event to birthdays I would love to be always present but it is very difficult to follow all the events.

I am a mom of a two month old baby girl and sometimes is challenging to manage the two roles but I feel lucky because she can come with me everywhere. This is a luxury that not every woman can have.

Toast Party Rentals – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Toast is a beautiful experience, it is constant learning and all depends on your passion and dedication.

It is a small boutique company where people can come and find real vintage furniture for their event, where can shape their dream wedding and have the best support from our team.

We are very dedicated to our clients and every last minute change is not a problem but an opportunity to make it even better.
We love what we do.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Proudest moment was when one of our special brides I worked with send me a beautiful note after her wedding saying that the event which was designed also by Toast, was her dream come true.

Her wedding was stunning, flowers everywhere, mismatching furniture in a beautiful green field in Palms Springs. We recreated her original wedding of 20 years prior so then when reviewing their vows it felt the same.

Her family was surprised and the happiness of her children was the best award ever.
