Today we’d like to introduce you to Elena Rangel.
Elena, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I grew up in Phoenix, AZ spending a lot of time outside with my family on hiking and camping trips. I rode horses from a young age, training every day and competing until I moved to California at the age of 18. I found yoga about a year and a half later because I was looking improve my flexibility and feel stronger in my body. After practicing yoga for three years, I realized the immense benefits it provided, but also how inaccessible it felt to people that didn’t fit into the stereotypical “yogi” box. I took my first Yoga Teacher Training with the goal of creating classes and spaces where all students felt welcome and comfortable. As soon as I began teaching, I recognized that this practice was so much more than just physically beneficial, and I extended my education to trauma-informed teaching and the science of healing through the body.
This led me into exploring other modalities of healing the body and mind. I soon discovered Fascial Stretch Therapy and Intuitive Intelligence Coaching (receiving certifications in both) and went into business working for myself. I now work with clients who are busy professionals or parents and need guidance in taking 1-2 hours per week focusing on their own mental and physical well being. My background in yoga and bodywork is foundational when I work to create balance and connection through mind, body and spirit – healing and integrating these three elements with my clients opens their path to removing blocks and reaching their greatest capabilities.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
In order to work with my clients to align mind, body, and spirit, the most crucial first step was first doing this for myself. I had to work on removing internal blocks that kept me from reaching clients, personal goals, and financial stability for many years. Not to mention, stretching others is a physically strenuous job and I was overworking myself into injury and constant pain. This made me realize that the only way I could sustain doing the work I loved was turning inward and learning how best to nourish and strengthen myself. I still consistently do work in growing personally, professionally, and physically – so I can be an example for my clients in doing the same.
Please tell us about Soulstice Healing.
My business is focused on healing trauma and helping clients remove the roadblocks preventing them from discovering and creating their ideal life. Unlike many coaches or spiritual healers, everything I do starts with connection through the body. This allows for a path into healing the spirit and reprogramming old and limiting patterns. How this looks is specific to the individual with whom I am working, and it’s vital to keep that mindset so I am consistently focused on personalizing the program. I am most proud of watching a client go from a place of physical and emotional pain to being able to move in the world with ease and joy. What sets me apart is I help people release their emotional pain to heal their physical pain.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Everything that I’ve faced has gotten me to where I am today. The only thing I would do differently is believing in myself and my abilities earlier! The biggest element that held me back was self-doubt; I had to unravel that before I could connect to people beginning their own healing journey.
