Today we’d like to introduce you to Elena BellyArt.
Elena BellyArt was one of the very first dancers who brought the Art of Belly Dance to the big stage. She won 1st Place in the European Belly Dance Championship that was held in her native country Belarus, which dramatically changed her life. Elena signed a contract as the solo belly dancer with Arabic impresario and performed for almost seven years in the Middle East, which led to performances for the royal families and other private events where she was honored with a special recognition award from the Sheikh of Qatar along with other Middle Eastern dignitaries.
Elena shared the stage with great artists and was traveling over 20 countries with concerts and dance workshops as a part of “The League of the Belly Dance Masters”, won numerous awards for best choreography and best show in belly dance performance and received the title of “Posh Belly Dancer” on the “10 Top Dancers List” (Russia, Moscow). In Europe Elena’s solo belly dance was featured in shows such as “Bombay’s Adventures” and “Night of the Dragons”. Both of these memorable shows were tributes to the iconic musicals by Andrew Lloyd Weber and performed by famous Russian ballroom dance company “Starlight Dancers”.
Prior to making the move to California, she was a traveling Belly Dancer. Her passion to art and wanderlust brings her to places like Egypt, Bahrain, Syria, UAE, Qatar, Morocco, Sri Lanka etc.were she was studying different dance technique and Energy Practice. She is a woman with an intriguing essence in front of the camera with appearances in films such as “The Brothers”-Russia (2009), “Easy life” – Russia (2013) and the sensual poetry series, “The Book of Sultry Presents: Harems of the Ardent”-USA (2015).
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It wasn’t easy even to get into dancing: I was struggling with overweight in my teens, my parents weren’t happy about my passion, I lived in that part of Eastern Europe, where entertainment and specially dance considered not very respectful, you know… I was sharing my time between two schools – regular and Art school, where I felt more like at home and we’re learning music, theater, dance and other forms of art.
I went to college and university as well and get an economical degree – bachelor at accounting, but worked only four months in this field. Good for me I had a chance to change my life 180 degrees and I took it. After winning European Bellydance Championship I never get back to accounting. I love money thoough lol and know how to manage them. So, nothing wrong to have a business degree

Award-winning belly dancer, performer, choreographer, world-renowned dance instructor in the field of Middle Eastern Dance and multi-disciplined fitness professional who fuses her love for teaching with her discipline as a Wellness Coach. Elena BellyArt has appeared in music videos, TV shows and movies such as “The Brothers” (Russia) 2010, “Easy life” (Russia) 2013, “The Book of Sultry Presents: Harems of the Ardent” (USA, 2015) and “Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance” (USA, 2015). As a model, she appeared in commercials and runway fashion shows in Russia and the Middle East with several artistic themed photo-shoots published internationally.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I had many awards but always strive to learn something new, create and experiment. I had the opportunity to try myself as a model and actress, designer and show producer.
