Meet Edit Alaverdyan, MS. AMFT of Momfident Women in Burbank

Today we’d like to introduce you to Edit Alaverdyan, MS. AMFT.

Edit, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My journey has not been easy, Momfident women is created with years of hard work, trauma, sweat, laughter, sleepless nights, pain, and grief. It all started in Armenia, where I was born and raised. I lived there during the 1980s and 1990s. I did not grow up rich or privileged, I grow up happy. Even during the most difficult times, where I lived through war, lights shut off for the days, no water for days, and freezing winter, my parents taught me to smile, we always smiled. That resiliency was the gift I cherished and fueled on growing up. As a little young girl, I wondered how sadness and difficulty can allow a person to smile and push through.

It was then I fell in love with the human psyche. I watched my parents respond instead of reacting through the most traumatic times. I was fascinated by parenting at such a young age. I decided when I migrate to America, I will become a Therapist. My dreams came true, I migrated from Hrazdan, Armenia to America at age 12 and the wonderful journey started.

I married and gave birth to a beautiful son. Overall, After the birth of my son, I experienced severe post-partum which then later turned to depression and severe anxiety attacks. At the time, I did not understand anything about my experience. I went through psychotherapy and due to the help of a beautiful lady that empowered me, I decided to take the same route.

I moved on as a single mother, put myself thought Grad school, and completed a master’s degree in Marriage and Family therapist. I became intrigued by parenting. I worked on myself for several years and found so much love within myself that I wanted to share with women who were and are struggling with mental health dilemmas all over the world.

I created Momfident Women Instagram account, a leading account for women to come together and get their power back, as well as steps that I teach for Mommy Confidence, which then turned to online Coaching school and essentially leading to publish my very first book/Journal ” Memoirs of a Mother” Available on Amazon worldwide.

Nevertheless, it has not been easy but it sure has been a learning journey and it is my honor to help women built there Mommy confidence with my special programs and coaching.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has bot been a smooth road, I have failed profusely but learned without loss a person cannot gain emotional growth. We grow by losing and failing. I” am blessed and grateful for all my failures and struggles.

Some of my struggles have been pretty intense, trauma, depression, loss; but, I learned so much and turned my pain into an educational empire.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Momfident Women story. Tell us more about the business.
Momfident Women is an online coaching school that has been helping so many women find self-love, connection, and mommy confidence.

By career, I am a psychotherapist, coach, and Author and have been known for helping women with mommy confidence.

I am extremely proud of my brand “Momfident Women” has been healing so many hearts of women and will continue to do so.

Momfident women are unique because it focuses on self-love of a person more intrinsic attribution that a woman possesses vs extrinsic. It is all about provided tools to get your power back to rule the world.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
As CEO of Momfident Women, I see the brand growing into a nonprofit organization to help women with free mental health services.
