Hi Eden, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My aesthetics career began 16 years ago in West Hollywood. Launching a solo career felt far-fetched at that time since I was busy raising small children and happily working in a nurturing environment. I was growing professionally and building quite a large and loyal client base. I didn’t have much time to think about my needs during those initial ten years. Finally, there was a pivotal moment in my career that pushed me out of my comfort zone. I shifted into high gear, fighting for what was important to me, and with passion and determination launched Skin Therapy by Eden.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I had two hard learning lessons with two complicated business partnerships. Plus, add in a pandemic to make matters more complicated. But the silver lining is that with setbacks come tough learning lessons, which is a positive. I learned exactly what was important to me and how to start a business. I needed to listen to my inner voice and trust my gut. I wanted to provide a customized spa experience on practiced and proven treatments from my years of experience. I did not want a medspa mill with gimmicks and minimal time allocated per person. It was simple. I always want to place the client’s interest first and never compromise my integrity, with reasonable protocols in place.
