Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Sean Kelishadi.
Hi Dr. Kelishadi, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am a board-certified plastic surgeon and the President of SSK Plastic Surgery. I have always been interested in science and medicine, and I pursued my passion by completing my undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry at Vanderbilt University and later received my medical degree from the University of Tennessee – Memphis College.
During my time at UTCOM, I became fascinated with the field of plastic surgery and the ability to help patients not only achieve their desired physical appearance but also enhance their overall well-being and self-confidence. After completing my residency in surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center, I further honed my skills through specialized training in plastic surgery and aesthetic procedures during a residency at the University of Louisville.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Establishing my own practice, as well as completing my education, was not always easy, and I faced numerous challenges along the way. However, with dedication, hard work, and a commitment to providing the best possible care for my patients, I was able to build SSK Plastic Surgery into the thriving practice it is today.
One of my largest obstacles was opening my practice in July 2014. I had a lot to juggle in both my personal and professional life including moving cross country to Newport Beach, being a new dad to my newborn daughter, living with my in-laws short-term, losing a dear friend a month before to metastatic colon cancer as well as another close friend who was a plastic surgeon as well. It was a lot to handle at once! I am grateful to have had the support of my wife in making it through this difficult period and continuing to find success.

I am the self-proclaimed “King of Cleavage” which pays tribute to our specialty and dedication to delivering the best breast procedures including augmentation, enhancements, lifts, etc., with the most up-to-date techniques and technology. We also specialize in “mommy makeovers” for postpartum women.

In terms of what I feel is most important to my success, it is my commitment to excellence and to always putting my patients first. I believe that by truly listening to my patient’s concerns and desires and developing a customized treatment plan that meets their individual needs, I can help them achieve the results they desire while also ensuring their safety and well-being.
