Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikki Starr Noce, M.D.
Nikki, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was born in NYC and the career path I initially chose to help people was to become a medical doctor. I received a bachelors in Psychology, Nutrition, and Chemistry from New York University and after finishing medical school at NYU, I realized there was more to this life than just being healthy, I also wanted to support people in living their best lives and in being happy too. After traveling the world and touching every continent except Antarctica by the time I was 25 I realize there were many modalities to heal, evolve and awaken our fullest human potential beyond what I learned in medical school. My innate and ancestral healing gifts began to awaken when I learned that my grandmother’s grandmother walked out of the jungle in Colombia and began living in a village and that all the women in my family have healing abilities.
With energy healing and meditation I discovered the power of supporting people on their journey to heal and awaken new gifts and abilities to live their best life. In 2013, I moved out to California because I believe it is the mecca for spirituality, conscious living and personal development. In 2014, I appeared on the FOX show Utopia, a social experiment about creating a new reality where I reached millions in sharing about healthy lifestyle practices including love, so they named me #DrLove. Since medical school, I received training in yoga and various types of energy healing and began working with people using a variety of modalities including meditation, mindset, rituals, energy activations, and more. Now my coaching, healing and personal development business is based in Los Angeles but I work with people around the world thanks to technology, Instagram (@drnikkistarr) and my online programs.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There have definitely been many challenges. My parents were 18 when I was born, I don’t come from privilege or money, I was the first in my family to finish college and get an advanced degree, I put myself through all of my schooling and am still paying tons of loans, no one understood when I chose to leave medicine for an alternative path, traveling the world alone and going on my own healing and awakening journey was lonely at times, when I was on the Fox reality show Utopia it was one of the most challenging experiences recorded for all the world to see, being a trailblazer and entrepreneur paving my own way to realize my dreams of helping millions to heal, awaken and transform is often faced with much uncertainty and risk but I continue on.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
My work is in personal development, healing, transformation, and human optimization. I support people in healing the past to enhance their live experience now in order to reach their highest potential selves so that they can live their dreams and live a life they love in all aspects through classes, workshops, intensive 1:1 coaching and programs, online programs and courses, retreats and teacher trainings. I am most proud of the massive shifts I’ve witnessed people go through from moving cities to starting new businesses to finding their dream partners and that they have been able to realize what seemed like a far off dream in the future right here in the now. What sets me apart from others is the combination of science and spirituality, practical and mystical, my work is indeed mind, body and spirit and touches the whole person beyond health and wellness to include love, relationships, beliefs, money, energy, purpose and more.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success as living a life filled with happiness, love, and thriving in your mission and purpose.
