Meet Dr. Chad Beauchamp of REPAIR Sports Institute

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Chad Beauchamp.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started the company with no money, chip on my shoulder and a whole lot of passion in the spring of 2015. Typical story in our field, I was working for a well-known sports clinic in Newport Beach where the plan was for me to bust my butt for several years and then slide into a leadership slash partnership deal.

Going into my third year, it was very clear that I was being played and the owner was getting everything out of me while not bringing me to a partnership deal. Finally, in the fall of 2014, it was time for me to flap my wings and move on. Within three days of leaving, I started my company in Huntington.

With no money, I was able to quickly build a million dollar company in one year. I was working 15 hour days, traveling all over the place to make a name for myself all the while trying to learn what it meant to be a small business owner. I have no background as a business owner, including no schooling, so, to say the least, it was a work in progress.

In three short years, we have been able to build what we have today as REPAIR SI. In 2018, we moved the company to a much larger building where we added many additional services to best execute the holistic model I had in mind. We continue to battle the ups, downs and the plateaus of small business.

We are finally making some excellent gains as far as stability but still run into money shortage as it takes months and months to get paid by the insurance companies. Our model is not the standard model and therefore takes much planning and thinking outside the box.

The biggest chip I had and have on my shoulder is the shortcomings of medical insurance forcing medical providers to go in the network, see a ton of clients and get paid less and less money every year. All the while the patients pay more and more and the insurance companies bank accounts get larger and larger. We will continue to fight no matter the cost!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has absolutely not been a smooth road. Cliff note version we have grown like crazy but continue to have financial issues.

We have also experienced old trainers that I acquired stealing a ton of patients a year to start their own business. But we continue on and make a large impact in the community.

REPAIR Sports Institute – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are a futuristic holistic wellness center.
-Physical therapy
-Chiro
-Accu
-Massage
-Personal training
-Yoga
-Pilates
-Recovery lounge

We specialize in athletes and active individuals. I am most proud of the impact we make on the community. Time and time again we hear how different we are compared to standard wellness care. And how are able to provide so much under one roof.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Personally, I define success by the positive impact you leave on the individuals in your system and the patients/clients that are in your community. Opening their eyes up to possibilities they never thought possible.
