Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Altina Karimyan.
Dr. Karimyan was has been nominated by her peers as top dentist in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 for Pasadena magazine.
In her early years, Dr. Karimyan completed a one-year honors clinical concentration program in cosmetic dentistry at New York University. Technical proficiency came easily to her, and it was early in her career that she discovered a talent that cannot be taught: a highly-developed aesthetic sensibility.
In 2009, Dr. Karimyan received her certification from Perio Protect, L.L.C to treat Periodontal Disease. In her recent years, she has been selected as an Invisalign Premier provider for Clear Orthodontics.
To toff it off, the noble Dr. Karimyan does missionary trips to help the poor. Last year she went to Dominican Republic to provide free implants for the unprivileged.
Dr. Karimyan – please share your story with us.
I have always had big dreams to fill when it came to my future career goals and aspirations. I am passionate about my career as a dentist because it fulfills and compliment the things that are most important to me. I love helping people, I love creating beautiful smiles, and most importantly getting them out of pain. I love networking and building relationships with my patients and most of all, I love giving back to the communities in need.
In the future, I would like to be able to take more missionary trips to help people in need around the world. When my children are older I would love to work at a school setting to be able to teach dental students. I would like to start out my own dental school where I can use my creativity and my love for dentistry to inspire future dental students. As I move along in my career I would like to work my way up and expand my career in the field of implantology!
I want to learn as much as possible so I can fulfill my ultimate dream of starting my own dental school that will service those in desperate need around the world.
My goal for my future is to become so successful that I will be able to help those in poverty and have no means to escape their situation.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Coming into America as an immigrant, my parents struggled to build a better future for us. To this day, I am very thankful of my father who worked so hard sick to provide for us.
