Meet Dominique Penn of Discreezips in Woodland Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominique Penn.

Dominique, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My inspiration in becoming an entrepreneur has always been wanting more for myself. I want to live out my purpose on Earth while I am still here. Not to mention that I have always wanted to be a figure in my home that my children looked up to. While I own several businesses, including Strollers & More – a high-end story for everything baby and children, Discreezips is actually a company that I have been building for some years now and something I am truly excited to share with the world.

I started this business at home with a pen and a notebook. I was just jotting down all the things that I wanted to see come to life and this one was at the top. I wanted to create a woman’s feminine product line with an array of products and an app to accompany the line’s mission. As in life, not everything happens in the order your predict – so let’s just say the app came first!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Building Discreezips has been somewhat challenging as I would imagine for any intricate line of products and development of an app. The research has been the hardest part. Between making sure I know my product’s industry from top to bottom and being able to find testing for my products has been challenging. Not to mention, finding the balance of being a mom to three beautiful children and making sure that I have enough rest to continue to have the same work ethic is always a challenge! Sometimes it’s okay to lose sleep for your biggest dreams and goals!

Please tell us about Discreezips.
My Discreezips App has four amazing portals:

Sprout (pre-teen to teen), Blossom (20& up), Bloom (40 & up) & DiscreeMen

Sprout (Pre-teen to teen)

In our sprout portal, you will be able to share your symptoms with your parents and friends. Once you have made the connection to approve who you would like to follow in on your journey, it will send the report of everything that you are logging in.

In addition, before your next period it can also alert your followers a reminder to purchase some pads or tampons for you (this is available for all modes). I went back and fourth about this portal for a long time. I created a pregnancy mode for this portal. In actuality, we have a lot of teen pregnancies. Teen doesn’t just mean 13 but also 17-19 as well. Building a community for them to help them find the resources that they need is important. They will be able to track their pregnancies and not feel alone in the community that we are building.

Blossom (20 & up)

In our blossom portal you are able to log in your period symptoms, Track your ovulation and your pregnancy. This app is very military friendly as well. A lot of our soldiers are deported without their families. This app will allow our “Buds” in Discreemen to track their wives or significant other pregnancy! You will be able to see your baby grow with your significant other and be able to receive a right at home feeling with the app. This brings families closer together by knowing exactly what she is craving, or even what mood she’s in. You can even communicate through the app via our messenger system. Wouldn’t it be nice if someone you loved came home with something you’ve been craving for? In our app once you log it in, it will notify the other person. All of this is based on the approval of the main user.

In addition to being military friendly my Discreezips app is also Surrogate User-Friendly as well!! If you are planning for the arrival of your new bundle of joy and feel over-anxious about your happiness, our app will allow you to track your growing baby upon request. Often times people feel like they are annoying their surrogate with asking “How you they feeling?” etc. My app will be a perfect place to track that without disturbing your surrogate all the time.

Bloom (40& Up)

This portal will have all of the functions as the blossom but in this portal my customers will have an option to go into a menopause mode. In this portal I wanted to build a community for women who is possibly going through menopause etc.

If they are having hot flashes, cold sweats, or even have had a decrease in sex drive you are able to easily log it in by a press of a button. This is good for themselves and their doctors as well by keeping track of all of the symptoms that they might occur when going through this stage in life.

Discreemen (Buds)

There are so many men that are single fathers to young girls and a lot of men who would love the idea of having their own community in app to let them in on knowing how their loved ones or surrogate feel. Creating this portal was fun. Upon approval only they will be able to track their loved one on all the possibilities above (cravings, mood swings, sex drives etc). They will see the reminders to buy pads or tampons for their daughters or family members. There is also insights for them as well!

I am building a community of people with families who all want to feel a little closer and in tuned with one another. With our insights, we will have a community of questions and answers to grow with each other. This app will tie in menstrual, ovulation, pregnancy, and menopause. I am very proud of it.

This sets my app apart because no one has been able to bridge all of the communities in one app. There’s no hidden fees and it’s only a one time charge of $3.99. We will also be making all types of updates that will be free after the one time download of $3.99. I am proud of this because I did this! I developed the concept and built a team to help me with it. All of my hard work is coming to life and I couldn’t be more excited.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Growing up, I always was in the arts. Whether it was sports or dance my mom always kept me in multiple activities. I have always had an imagination and a creative mind. I use to create theme parks when I was a kid in my coloring books because I was so obsessed with Disneyland lol. I never was into large groups of friends but I associated myself with people enough not to look weird lol. I have always been a straightforward type of person.

What you see is what you get!
