Meet Dominic Barbar of Barbar Hair Tools in Valencia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominic Barbar.

Dominic, CEO of Barbar, Inc., was a former hairstylist. He started in Montreal, eventually moving to LA where he worked in Beverly Hills at top salons Juan Juan and Giuseppe Franco. With his entrepreneurial spirit and education in electrical engineering, he wanted to develop his own brand name of professional hair tools. And at first, Barbar Hair Tools were distributed onto to hair professionals. That all changed in 2012 when the Barbar Italy 3800 Ionic Blow Dryer was featured on ‘Good Morning America’. That morning and in under three hours, over 15,000 dryers were sold. This gave him the idea to market and distribute to not only the professional cosmetologist, but to everyday consumers. Barbar Hair Tools has enjoyed product features on such television shows as The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Talk, and The Wendy Williams Show. And just about every media publication has at one time featured their products (People, InStyle, Martha Stewart Living to name a few). Their Eco 8000 Eco-Friendly Blow Dryer was named Best Eco-Friendly Dryer by InStyle in both 2013 + 2015. Their products are available online at barbarhairtools.com, target.com and amazon.com, Their working philosophy is to provide their professionals and everyday consumers with impeccable quality and customer service.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s never a smooth road in the beauty business. The competition is brutal and there are so many choices out there for hair care products. That’s why customer service is everything in our business, and we pride ourselves on making sure our clients are satisfied.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Barbar Hair Tools – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Our specialty is quality products. We’re known for our dryers. Our titanium flat irons were the first on the market. Our Eco 8000 Eco-Friendly Dryer was the first on the market to utilize a low EMF, ceramic heating element. We pride ourselves in innovation and keeping ahead of the latest trends in technology.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Cordless is the future: products that are powered by batteries. We have also developed a Nano-technology plate for our hair straighteners that will surpass all others in performance and quality.
