Hi Dmitrii, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey in construction began at the tender age of 5, as I eagerly assisted my father in straightening nails. Growing up under the guidance of a skilled general contractor, I absorbed invaluable knowledge and expertise. I vividly recall my first experience with welding, a time when automatic welding machines were a luxury. Armed with just a stick welder and a few basic tools, we crafted intricate metal circles for our fences and gates, pioneering our own solutions.
Over the years, I diversified my skills across various construction trades such as electrical work, interior home design, exhibitions, and production companies. Each venture enriched me with unique experiences that I now strive to infuse into my work, offering my clients a blend of creativity and practicality.
In 2019, I took the leap to establish my own company in Los Angeles. Since then, we have amassed a wealth of experience, recognizing the importance of using low-maintenance materials in the face of the region’s scorching summer heat. To address this need, we have designed and fabricated our own aluminum and composite gates, presenting innovative solutions to our discerning clients.
Recently, we successfully completed our examination and eagerly anticipate obtaining our California license. This milestone marks a new chapter in our journey, fueling our commitment to delivering exceptional craftsmanship and service to the community.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
“My journey has been far from easy. While many aspire to the image of successful individuals, my teenage dream of effortless wealth has evolved. I now see the path itself as the goal, offering opportunities for personal and spiritual growth. Overcoming challenges and mistakes has taught me the importance of maintaining empathy and integrity in difficult times.
For example, obtaining my license required around 2-3 years of preparation and examination. When I first opened the examination book, I struggled to understand concepts like accounting and taxes due to my upbringing in a different system. However, this journey of learning has been invaluable, and I continue to share this experience with my workers and friends, enriching our collective knowledge and growth.”
