Meet Dion Dersarkissian of Pinky’s Iron Doors in South Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dion Dersarkissian.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My dad has been in the Iron Work business for 30+ years. About 5 years ago my brother, Arin, and I took interest and saw an opportunity to take an old industry to new levels.

We started in a small space with 70 doors, selling 2-3 doors a month, now we are currently out growing a 30,000 sq. ft. building. Did I mention our building was actually the old Hostess Factory??!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s been quite the struggle, but all worth it!

The fast paced growth and going from a small family run business to a growing corporation were and continue to be our biggest challenges. There is always a learning curve happening because the nature of the business and how we have gone about marketing it. Steadily evolving.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Pinky’s Iron Doors story. Tell us more about the business.
We manufacture iron and steel windows, doors, showers, partitions, etc.

We specialize in making these types of items cool 😉

We are known for our outstanding customer service, excellent quality, and unbeatable pricing. Oh….and our Instagram!

Our team is what we are most proud of AND what sets us apart.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Lucky to have all these people come into my life, without them I couldn’t have made any of this happen.
