Today we’d like to introduce you to Dinah Manalo.
Dinah, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Ever since I was a young girl, I knew that I wanted to work in the medical field. Pursuing that dream, I first became a pediatric registered nurse, and then later a Certified Nurse Practitioner in women’s health care. Upon turning the age of 30, I was living in Seattle, Washington, at the time and decided to treat myself to some much-needed pampering at a local med spa. By the time, I left the office that day I knew what I wanted to do with my career and I immediately began educating myself on aesthetic medicine.
My first aesthetic position was at Calidora Skin Clinic, in Seattle, where I learned the industry and perfected my clinical technique. After five great years, I moved back to my home in Hermosa Beach, CA, and began working for several reputable med spas throughout the South Bay and beach cities with the dream of one day opening a medical spa.
In March, 2016, I partnered with Robert Hashemiyoon, MD, and opened Pure Luxe Medical.
Has it been a smooth road?
Opening a small business is stressful and can feel overwhelming at times. However, I am so grateful to have gone through it, and can honestly say the process made me appreciate the business even more.
We were very fortunate to not have many unforeseen struggles or obstacles. Probably the most stressful parts were deciding on the perfect location, and property which met all our needs.
