Meet Dina Newman of Organizing Concepts and Designs in Encino and Los Angeles County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dina Newman.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Dina. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
After working as a Legal Assistant/Office Manager for 30 years I decided to start an Organizing business. I wanted to take the skills and experience that I acquired while working in the legal industry and my natural organizational talents to help others get organized or better organized, as the case may be.

Organizing Concepts and Designs, aka OCD, has given me a positive and powerful way to channel my OCD tendencies.

Our services include Residential Organizing, Office Organizing, Relocations and Estate Sales.

Organizing Concepts and Designs has 5 Star ratings with Yelp, GoogleMyBusiness, Angie’s List and Thumbtack.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
For the most part, my journey has been smooth. While there’s always bumps in the road, I’ve learned how to navigate them by learning from the experience.

I find that the hardest thing is keeping up with technology and social media. That said, I know that the only way to stay relevant is to keep learning and doing my best to keep up with the latest trends.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Organizing Concepts and Designs – what should we know?
First and foremost, Organizing Concepts and Designs is a full service organizing company. We help people get organized or better organized in just about any environment. We facilitate the entire process by helping our clients figure out the best options depending on their needs. We customize our approach depending on our clients’ goals.

Over the past 7 years I have brought on other organizers so that we can help more people. Each and every one of them brings something special and unique to the work that we do. More importantly, they are hardworking, respectful and talented people who like what they do and are truly amazing at it.

What makes us different is that we go the extra mile for our clients. We stand by our work and make sure that our clients are happy EVERY TIME!

What makes us different is that we all have different strengths and skills and we know how to work together to maximize the results for our clients.

What makes us different is that we have an amazing pool of resources to get the job done and get it done right!

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I suppose that the people that I worked with for 30 years were my teachers and mentors. All of the things that I learned enabled me to gain the knowledge and confidence to start a business.

Thankfully, I also have very supportive family and friends which makes everything so much easier.

When I first started OCD I reached out to other professionals as well for guidance and I give them a lot of credit as well. I hired a CPA, several attorneys as there were different legal issues involved, a bookkeeper and a host of other professionals to help me navigate my way through starting a business.

Without the support of all of them, in one way or another, I don’t believe I would be as successful.

Wonderful article.. I remember being in your apartment many years ago with your mom and dad. Your mom opened both a drawer and a closet and I have never seen anything so neat in my life.. Every item in the drawer was perfectly placed and every item in the closest was hung with the exact space of every item was perfect. If you measured every item hung in the closet with a ruler it was the same distance as the other items.

So I found out you started this business many years ago there was no doubt in my mind you would be successful.

In addition, no one I know has been in the same business as you.l
