Meet Diedre Curry of Womenwhothriive

Today we’d like to introduce you to Diedre Curry.

Hi Diedre, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have always been in the business of serving women by being a vessel to help them redefine who they are, walk into any room and own it and talk they sh!T since I was a little girl. I started my defining what boldness me from learning how to do hair at seven years old. I always wanted to ignite the women around me, this lead to becoming a makeup artist in my 20”s to telling rich as stories of women in business as to what I do now. I advise women in business and brands on the importance of being Relatable, Intentional and Authentic with their Presence. My name is Diedre Curry. I am a Professional Shit Talker empowering women to own their Presence. I used to believe that I needed permission or approval of others in order to do something that was outside of what was considered normal. I found myself constantly playing small when it came to who I was and what I stood for. I stayed in relationships longer after they expired. Settled in jobs or business partnerships that did not serve me or align with my core values. I waited for other people to validate me before I would go after everything I wanted for myself. Who I was no longer lives here. For the last five years, I have studied Marketing and Advertising. With my expertise, will I help you show up and Talk Yo Shit. We focus on the fundamentals of who you are which shapes your story. Your audience will see you, relate to you and join you.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I believe if it was easy everyone will do it. I used to find myself in a season waiting for them to choose me. Waiting for someone to see me. Waiting for someone to show up for me the same way I showed up for others. The truth is I was waiting for ME  to SHOW UP FOR ME!! I spent more time than I would like to admit shrinking myself to make myself and others comfortable. The thing was GOD created me to be so much more. There were moments where I lacked confidence, questioned my purpose and allowed imposter system to get the best of me. Time and time again God has given me grace to get back up. Someone is waiting on you to arrive, waiting on you to share how you could have quieted, waiting for you to unlock imposter syndrome. We need you.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Most of us believe that courage takes more effort and energy than we have available during this journey we call life. In the moments where your voice depends on it is the moment you must arrive.” What do you stand on? We were all created to make an unapologetic footprint on this world. Someone is waiting on you to show up for your purpose. Someone is waiting to do business with you. Someone is waiting for you to speak at the conference. Someone waiting for you to release the book. Even if nobody sees it in you, you must see for yourself. Your resilience is your superpower. Your resilience has the ability to return to the original form… after being bent, compressed, or stretched and still rise. I make it my business to help women Take UP Space, Get Clear on Your Why( Baby you got the Juice and scale their presence to deepen your Brand Value by helping you define your story on and offline.
