Meet Dewaine Williams of OFFDAHU$TLE

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dewaine Williams.

Dewaine, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started my clothing brand in 2017. I was on my computer just messing around with custom ink just putting the word ambition on the shirts in different colors. The crazy thing about my brand is that at first, it was called Ambitionclothing because I am very inspired by Hustle & motivation. So first, I went out and got six shirts just to see how they look and see people’s reactions. I was getting good feedback but I didn’t know the business part at the time. I was thinking “I’m going to make more, sell out and get rich”. Well, that’s not how it ended up going. I started giving them away losing some it was a lot but I wasn’t in the right mindset about the brand because I didn’t know the business part. At first, I was thinking money and it don’t work like that so I did my research for about a year or two and wrote down a lot almost everyday I was learning something new so in 2019 thats I started to change up a lot of things. My brand was still called ambition clothing but I needed a LLC for ambitionclothing. I found out that ambitionclothing was already a brand. So I had a conversation with my VP and Marketing Manager and I was telling them I needed something more catcher and that will get people’s attention and we came up with OFFDAHU$TLE after that, I submitted it and got approved. That was gas fuel for me to go harder. ODH is based on ambition. ODH is more then a brand it’s a lifestyle everything you work for in life day and night. My brand symbolizes three meanings freedom equality and prosperity. Now going into 2021 OFFDAHU$TLE will just get bigger and better. I want to show people just be yourself, keep hustling and stay motivated for yourself, family, your goals and to be somebody in life.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s a lot of bumpy roads you have to get through when being an entrepreneur it’s going to be trials and tribulations such as some items not selling. I don’t have a direct audience, I want everybody to wear ODH so I have to come up with ideas that everybody would wear. Inventory is hard because you can be stuck between buying too much of something that doesn’t sell or buying too less of something that could sell out. After going through some of these trials, I was going to Give up on my brand and just try to do something else but I had to believe in myself and overcome all the obstacles that came my way.

OFFDAHU$TLE LLC – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am the founder / Owner of OFFDAHU$TLE. I am known for having a movement for hustlers and what makes me proud about my brand is seeing people react to it and just seeing it growing and knowing that my brand is really going be around for a very long time. ODH is the movement we are setting and explain to show people that anything is possible; all you have to do is grind and show your talents. Thats what set me apart from others.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment in my career is when I did my first ever pop-up shop and people was coming out buying items. I had a moment to myself just thinking about how far I came and almost giving up on my dream.
