Meet DevRaj Patel of Jivati in Irvine

Today we would like to introduce you to DevRaj Patel.

DevRaj Patel grew up in a low-income household, which limited many opportunities. His dream of experiencing a fun lifestyle of traveling, shopping, fine dining, and entertainment was out of reach. At the age of 29, life felt a little more balanced and things started to look up. Shortly after, a series of unfortunate events spanning from a close family member receiving a life-threatening diagnosis and the sudden passing of his father. The past four years were the hardest times he had endured, but he strived to remain positive for his family.

In 2019, he decided to create a company that reflects his attitude about life. Hence, why he chose the word Jivati as his company name. Jivati is a Hindu term derived from the old Indian language of Sanskrit. It means “to be alive.” He wasn’t born in India, but India was born in him, so he wanted to identify with his family background. Things started to align at this time as he realized his life goal was to help people see the silver lining. He wanted to enhance the lives of people no matter the occasion: work, travel, exercise, health issues, or non-stop partying. He says, “I was born in a country where dreams come true. So I already knew I was in a position to create something from nothing. It just came down to me tapping into my experiences and determining how I can create a positive reality out of it, which is how Jivati came to be.”

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Things were definitely not smooth and I’m glad I had obstacles. I still have a few bumps and I hope it continues because it keeps my mind thinking on how to improve my business from every angle. The last thing I want to be is comfortable because I want Jivati to be the next generation of drinks. Yes, the struggles can be frustrating and draining at times, but once you overcome these hurdles things just seem to click. I have many ideas on how to evolve this company over time. I welcome challenges because I know there are countless solutions that can resolve any issue. I simply keep my mind open to everything, perform my due diligence, trust my instincts, and execute without hesitation.

Please tell us about Jivati.
Jivati is more than a business, it’s a movement. One of the reasons I created Jivati was because the beverage market is saturated with numerous companies that provide the same type of drinks. Many companies push out a single product, whereas I’ve created a brand that will produce several lines of products according to the needs of the consumer. After conducting my research, I’ve concluded that sparkling water, hard seltzer, and alkaline water were one of the most consumed products in the beverage industry. I wanted to approach the market with these three popular products, establish a strong brand foundation, and eventually expand Jivati’s product lines.

Jivati Uniqueness:

Innovation – New & Exciting
A brand identity that is trustworthy and inspires people to change their life for the better.
Differentiation – Disruptive Momentum
Able to be distinctive from the competition by evolving through unique and healthy ingredients that bring value to the consumer.
Product Diversity – Tap into Trends
Ability to create a unique selling point for new product lines into other changing markets.

I’m known to be a very diverse individual from both personal and professional aspects of my life. I enjoy learning which is why I keep an open heart and mind. The more I know about the environment around me, the more self-aware I become. Listening to other people’s experiences helps me to evolve as a human being.

My life events have shaped the culture of this company. I keep it moving and live up life no matter what challenges arise. I continuously work harder than the day before and I party hard to enjoy life. I also push myself to level up at all times.

Every step of creating Jivati has been exciting. One of the great things about Jivati is collaborating with new entrepreneurs like myself to help form my company. These entrepreneurs have been an integral part of my brand identity, product formation, and marketing. Surely, I could have hired a well-established company to do it all but helping small businesses felt like home to me. It has been an uplifting journey thus far to team up with underdogs in hopes of making it big.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I’m an astronomy geek. I have fond memories of talking about the universe for hours during sleepovers with my cousin Arpit. It made our minds wander beyond what we knew. This may be one of the reasons why my mind is always open to anything. To this day, as adults, we send each other Instagram posts about astronomy and geek out on it. I will always be a kid at heart, this wild imagination helped Jivati come to life.

to DevRaj Patel. Hello DevRaj. We have a lot in common except I am exiting my ‘Healthier Than Water’ business and you are in the beginning of your Javati journey. Yesterday you welcomed me to your Advisory Board.
I think it would be to our mutual benefit to talk sooner rather than later. Please visit my web site RedElephantChocolate.com to review my Chak’Atl brand of a disruptive all natural cocoa bean beverage or ‘chocolate tea’ product. Its market is conservatively $1B of the $400B US annual beverage market.
It seems a perfect fit. Richard Koenings/414-617-5509m
