Meet Davis Yasuda

Today we’d like to introduce you to Davis Yasuda

Hi Davis, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey into acting began as a senior in High School. I secretly wanted to live out the modern-day high school musical playing sports and participating in theater. I had the opportunity to take an advanced acting and theater arts course, where I was first introduced to the art.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wouldn’t necessarily say the journey has been a smooth road, but more of challenges and lessons that have been opportunities for me to learn from. Whether it’s being rejected from one audition to another and then finally booking a fun project or finding the right community in Los Angeles to spend time with and learn from, I do want to give a shout-out to a couple of friends, Jeremy and Aniza Lai and Anthony Cotoia on the east side that have given me great advice and the best food recommendations.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As an actor and model, I am always proud of seeing my work in print and film. Most of the time, you never know the exact date of projects being released, so having others see your work first and then talking about it is always fun. I am proud of all my work whether it’s the few co-star roles, feature films, tubi projects, and modeling gigs that I have been a part of. I love all projects the same.

What sets me apart is my willingness to be coached on set but also my confidence to take risks when I see fit. My background as an Asian American from Sacramento has given me a lot of life experience that I love bringing to LA and sharing my story on camera.

We’d love to hear what you think about risk-taking.
I think risks are important in life. Life is about memories and experiences, and I am a firm believer in trusting yourself and going for what you are passionate about. My parents taught me the importance of believing in myself and chasing my dream. They allowed me to make my mistakes and learn from them, but they always had my back.
