Meet David Morrison of SPACES-DTLA

Today we’d like to introduce you to David Morrison.

Thanks for sharing your story with us David. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
I definitely didn’t take the standard path, that’s for sure. It took me a little over four years to finish college, and I’ve finally worked my way up to where I am today. Through my senior year in high school and early college years, I worked as a financial representative at a credit union, which is how I got started in customer service.

Eventually, I worked at Kaiser Permanente for a couple of years while attending college. I, then, joined Enterprise Rental Car Management Program as my first job right after college in where I utilized my Bachelor’s degree. Then, I had an opportunity to work with Regus, the sister company of SPACES and I’ve been with the company for the past six years.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has definitely not been an easy one. You don’t always make the income you want, graduate college fast enough, or get the job of your dreams.

There are plenty of trials and tribulations. As a young professional, you think you’re going to be at a certain place, or living out a certain aspect of your life, and when you find yourself falling short and not meeting your expectations, that creates a number of frustrations and self-doubt.

But, at the same time, it also creates a way to look for other opportunities. I’ve experienced all this. You have to be able to adapt to your surroundings, pivot if you must and continue on to reach your goals.

Please tell us about SPACES-DTLA.
SPACES is a very innovative company. It is fairly new to the U.S., it has only been in the country for about two years from Amsterdam. The great thing about SPACES is that we’re part of a larger network of offices with Regus, our sister company, which has over 3,000 locations globally.

So, one of the benefits with that is that no matter which location you decide to sign up with, not only do you choose your main office base, but you also have access to the entire network of offices worldwide. It’s great for companies that are looking to start off small or in a certain market as their looking to expand.

We’re really flexible when it comes to our agreement types, we offer month to month terms. We also offer discounts if they are willing to commit for a longer time.

We allow clients to upgrade or downgrade throughout their term, not only with their location but within the entire network of offices. One of the best things we offer is the energy, we have a lot of different businesses here, and they all bring their own creativity and excitement to the space.
