Today we’d like to introduce you to David Malek.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started as a professional gambler playing Blackjack in Las Vegas in the early 1990’s. Had a few very successful years but gravitated more toward entertainment. Moved to Hollywood to pursue acting and magic.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road is never smooth. A career in show business is like the tide and the waves. The tide (life) is ever present and the waves are the ups and downs of that life. What matters is how you surf the waves. When it’s calm, just know that the waves are coming and when it’s stormy just know soon there will eventually be calm. Everything else falls in between.
The King at the Castle – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I’m most known for being a professional magician at the Magic Castle in Hollywood. I specialize in entertaining people with comedy and magic using sleight-of-hand.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is doing with your life what you want. I believe you should set various goals with professionally and personally and work toward achieving them on a daily basis. My mantra is do what you love and do it every day and you will always be a success.
