Meet Dave Nowick of La Habra Tennis Center

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dave Nowick.

Dave, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Started playing tennis at age 14/15 and worked my way through all levels of tennis to finally owning my own tennis club.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Every business has its struggles. I think the key for any business is to find a niche and excel at it. My niche is doing personalized/ individual lessons and getting outstanding results.

La Habra Tennis Center – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
This is a tennis business. I am an expert at running tournaments and giving individual private tennis lessons. I run some of the largest events in the country and every year coach several top nationally ranked tennis players. I am the tournament director of over 25 sanction events including national events. I travel across the country with my players who compete against the top in the nation. This year alone I sent 4 players off to D-1 universities. I am very proud of the fact I only work off referrals and have been able to sustain my business for over 25 years.

Pricing:

  • I charge $200 for 1 1/2 hour private
