Meet Daria Troshkina of Las Vegas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daria Troshkina

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am an aspiring painter. Started my way not so long ago, about 3 years ago. I am inspired by classical painting and try to understand modern art in order to be able to create something of my own competently.I started to be interested in painting as a child, my parents took me to a children’s art school at the age of 7. After studying there for about four years, I realized that there was no desire to continue at this point. It was not until many years later that I resumed my practice and fell headlong into painting

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The path of creative people is never easy and thorny. The main difficulty is I never like what I do and don’t know how many years it will take to get my approval of myself. But this feeling makes me work even harder and work on myself. One of the main things that helps you cope when it’s hard to accept what you’re doing is to accept that things will get better over time, there will be progress if you work hard. It’s important to give yourself time and not make the main goal to earn money from what you do. The main thing is to have fun

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Apart from painting, I am very fond of classical literature. It is my main source of inspiration. I try to draw meanings and ideas from any book plots. After all, where else can you find such strong emotions as not in literature and try to convey with the help of canvas and paints what your favorite characters felt and lived with. In the future I would like to organize a thematic exhibition of my paintings inspired by the plots of classic English and Russian literature. It will take a lot of time to realize this wish, but I believe I still have time

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Hard work and perseverance. The most important thing is to love the process and not to think about the final result, because it is very difficult to be satisfied with the final work. It will be much easier not to give up at the early stages of what you start doing if you dissolve in the process. Look for different sources of inspiration and don’t get hung up on one thing. Don’t be afraid to experiment and don’t be afraid to be judgmental
