Meet Daria Mazur

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daria Mazur.

Daria Mazur

Hi Daria, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a professional actress based in Los Angeles, originally from Poland. I came to LA in 2017 to pursue my dream and well… the rest is history. I graduated from Stella Adler Academy of Acting in Hollywood. I have worked on many TV shows and plays. I am currently playing Koziel in a play about World War 2 called ‘Halas Powyzej (Noise Above)’, which is premiering in Palm Springs Cultural Center in Spring 2024.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not! But it’s not supposed to be smooth :). If it were smooth, everyone would be successful. Acting is a constant battle, and rejection is a huge part of it. But it’s 100% worth it – pursuing something that you love is always worth it. Actors are doers and believers. We are here to pursue our dreams!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As an actress, I mostly work on TV shows. I have recently appeared on Polish TV shows called Minuta Ciszy and Lombard. Zycie Pod Zastaw’. Right now, while working on the play ‘Noise Above’ here in Palm Springs, I am hoping to bring awareness to the pain that is caused by armed conflicts. I am always willing to take part in projects that mean something to me. I want to portray stories that change people’s lives, stories that help them understand others. People come to the theatre or turn the TV on to feel something, to be transformed. It’s my job to make it happen.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I had a wonderful childhood, so I have tons of beautiful memories. I remember when once I was in the backyard, and our dog grabbed me by the clothes, picked me up, and started carrying me. He thought I was a toy that was used in his dog training program. It was totally harmless, but my brother jumped from the balcony to try and ‘rescue’ me. He cared about me so much that was ready to jump and make sure I was safe. It wasn’t funny at the time, but now I think about that moment as proof how much my family cares about me.
