So, before we jump into specific questions about what you do, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Ten years ago, I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea after I fell asleep at the wheel and crashed my car into a tree. Since then, I have helped over 3000 patients by treating their snoring and sleep apnea symptoms with a custom-fitted mouthpiece.
After almost losing my life, I realized my calling, I would help people sleep better, feel rested and reduce a slew of medical conditions such as high blood pressure, chronic acid reflux, cancer, stroke, depression, heart attack and even death.
Has it been a smooth road?
Patients have for the most part been very open to not have to wear a CPAP mask. The ease of wearing a mouthpiece to help someone sleep better and not snore has not only been accepted by the patient but also welcomed by their bed partners who suffer from hearing the snoring.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the 805 Dentistry story. Tell us more about the business.
At 805 Dentistry, we not only provided dental routine check-ups and cleanings, but we also do Invisalign, dental implants and Botox for tmj pain and headaches. Cosmetic dental procedures such as veneers, zoom whitening and all-porcelain crowns are also offered.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Dental treatment is a whole health approach. Sleep apnea and snoring treatment will become more needed as the obesity epidemic increases and while people are leading more stressful lives. Sleep quality is affected and the airway must be kept open to get proper airflow to sleep well. I help my patients get a consult via telemedicine first so they do not have to come in, set them up with a home sleep test and then treat them as needed.
