Hi Daquan and Shardae, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello, thank you for interviewing us! We began our journey as high school sweethearts, and it’s been a wonderful adventure ever since! After our high-school graduation, we both earned our bachelor’s degrees just days apart and then completed our master’s degrees within a week of each other. Today, we proudly work as a school teacher and a registered nurse.

When we’re not busy in the classroom or the hospital, we channel our creativity into our small family-owned photo booth business, Just Flick It Photo Booth. We launched this venture using the funds we received as wedding gifts, driven by our passion for capturing memories and a desire to create an additional source of income beyond our careers.

Though we’ve only been operating for a short time, we’ve learned and grown immensely. Our mission is to provide the best experience for our clients at an affordable rate, catering to a wide range of events—from birthdays and weddings to community gatherings and more!

We are incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received thus far and feel honored to be part of so many special moments. As we look to the future, our goal is to continue growing and expanding our business while enjoying the journey every step of the way!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As this is our first business venture together, we’ve definitely faced our share of challenges. Every step of the way has been a journey of trial and error. Being business owners comes with a lot of responsibility, but we do our best and trust that God will guide us through it all.

There’s so much we still have to learn, and we’re genuinely excited about what’s to come. We’ve found that dividing our roles based on our strengths works wonders for us—one of us handles the tech side, while the other focuses on customer service. This collaboration allows us to tackle challenges effectively, using our individual skills to find the best solutions.

Above all, we truly enjoy working events together. It’s a unique experience to get paid to be part of celebrations, and seeing our clients have fun with the photo booth brings us so much joy. Ultimately, our goal is to create a memorable experience for our clients while having a great time doing it!
