Meet Danielle Rubenstein

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Rubenstein.

Hi Danielle, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi 👋 My name is Danielle, but everyone calls me Dede. A little back story about the first time I fell in love with baking when. I began baking with my best friend when I was eight years old. We baked cookies, cinnamon rolls and even made milkshakes all why filming everything on a VHS & pretending we were on a baking show. Fast forward to 2018 when I wanted to learn how to make cakepops. I went on youtube, watched how to make cakepop videos and in April 2018 I began selling to Friends in Family birthday parties. It was not easy to make cakepops, after trial & error I finally mastered the cakepop in 2020. Fast forward to today, I’ve learned to make many different treats & baked goods for so many birthdays, weddings and those times where you have a sweet tooth.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve faced so many challenges along the way with dipping treats & baking desserts.

With dipping treats the hardest part was getting the chocolate to melt properly so it was smooth & runny. Trail & error was my best friend.

With the baked goods the hardest part was forgetting to add an ingredient. I’ve learned to have every ingredient out before baking so I don’t miss an ingredient.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an at home baker that specializes in dipped treats & baked goods. I am known as the baklava lady. Baklava was a dessert I grew up with since my grandparents were Middle Eastern. My grandmother taught me how to make this dessert when I was about 10 years old. This recipe was passed on to us & now I get to share with you guys how delicious this dessert is.

One thing I always strive for is great customer service, quality of the treats & building a strong customer relationship.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I believe taking risks is a very scary thing, but you can do anything you set your mind to. The mind is very powerful don’t let it stop you from being the best version of yourself. If you have a dream, follow that dream & don’t let anyone stop you!
