Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Soto-Brenner.
Hi Daniela, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I moved to LA after living in NYC for almost five years. I am originally from Mexico City, where I studied drama, and after pursuing acting for more than 17 years, I felt the necessity of expanding my career or trying something new. Why? Because of the SAG-Aftra strike and because I felt I needed to have a plan b in case acting didn’t give me a stable financial career. I passed my real estate exam, and I cannot be more proud of myself! It was so difficult and, because English is not my first language, I had to push myself to study in new ways.. After I received my license,, I joined a real estate brokerage and started learning how to practice real estate. It took me seven months until I landed my first deal. I am constantly balancing being a present mother to my two boys with this new career journey in real estate. I truly find myself excited to conquer my goals. It’s a feeling that gives me a lot of satisfaction, and it’s highly addicting!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The language barrier was the first big bump in the road, but I learned to communicate better and at a fast pace. I also experienced a major culture shock and had to adapt to many things that I wasn’t used to.
Financially, everything moves at a faster pace, and that has been a big challenge for me to adapt to.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I love making movies, writing, performing. It’s where I feel most alive. However, this hasn’t been my most creative year. Community is a big influence in my life and since I have only been in LA a few years, I haven’t found a good artistic community yet. I am determined to find my place in 2024 and make time to be creative myself. I strive to continue to write and pick up some of the projects I have put on hold.
I actively help people to sell their houses or to buy their first property in The Valley. I really enjoy guiding my clients through these very important and meaningful transactions
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Consistency is the key. Done beats perfect. Whenever I do things even if they are not great, the repetition brings me closer to my goals. I also feel that I love bringing value to people’s life. Whenever I have the opportunity to help, I will always do my best to do so. []=[=op=][]
