Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Lozano
Hi Daniela, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
In Peru, because of the pandemic, we went into a lockdown for months. This allowed me to re think life decisions such as where I saw myself, what I wanted to do for a living. I was a student, 4 years of law school and I was doing paralegals. That did not seem to fulfill me as I once thought when I left highschool. Something in me said, follow your gut. Music has always been there. Long story short, my parents told me: find the best school un performing arts and we will support you. That is how I am here in LA, after completing a bachelors in Musical Theatre.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Language barrier, cultural shocks, exploring my 20s around young artists. It’s been a beautiful roller coaster.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I love to tell stories in every possible form. Write songs, poetry, scripts, portraying a character for a film or play. I am super proud I have 3 songs that belonged to my childhood bedroom back in Peru, those are now out there on platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music. UNREAL.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
You can access art, nature and education. Incredible.
