In December of 2001, two friends decided to start an educational consulting firm that would make a difference. Combining professional acumen and extensive volunteer experience, they created FLEX College Prep, an innovative model for elevated college preparation that is both holistic and intimate in its approach. For almost two decades, FLEX has assembled a team of experts with over 100 years of combined experience and proven track records in their fields of expertise.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The company grew from two friends to approximately 100 employees serving eight domestic locations and two international centers. As we continue to grow, the main challenge will be to maintain the personalized service our families have grown to expect and appreciate. We utilize a hands-on approach with all our families, and we are committed to keeping that approach intact as we expand into other territories.

This roadmap relies on a suite of services, including our patent-pending Info Bank consultants and database, that FLEX educators provide to increase high school readiness and college preparedness.
The FLEX team works closely with students and their families by helping them identify the schools that best match their values and goals and coaching them to achieve admissions success. Most importantly, FLEX staff members understand the importance of people and relationships. That is why one of the hallmarks of the FLEX experience is expert advice delivered with a personal touch. FLEX empowers seasoned counselors, essay instructors, and other education specialists to utilize their respective expertise to shepherd students and their families through the very competitive college application process. To date, FLEX has helped thousands of students get into the schools of their dreams.
