Meet Dani Luv of Paint Rocks! in Burbank

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dani Luv.

Dani, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve been painting since I was a kid and music has been something I’ve been doing professionally since I was 16. I wanted to combine my love for art and music and teach it to others in a way that wasn’t intimidating or stressful. I started Paint Rocks! in 2016 after attending similar social paint events around the city and said why not incorporate more of a Rock N Roll theme!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
As with any new or small business, the road is never smooth from the start and budget becomes your biggest factor. Being not just a business owner but an artist, I’m able to see things a bit differently. If the road looks too curvy ahead, I just paint a new. My future is a blank canvas.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Paint Rocks! – what should we know?
Paint Rocks! is a social paint party event held in public establishments where you learn (step by step) how to paint an original piece of artwork. All the supplies are included and are set up and ready for you to use. You do not need any prior artistic experience and best of all you get to go home with your work in a couple hours.

Being a one man show, I differ from the corporate players in that all the artwork is new and original and my own and not regurgitated from one artist to another. You get to learn directly from me, the artist. You get to ask more questions, get more answers, and have a warm sense of accomplishment knowing you learned directly from me.

Plus, my focus is not just the art, but the music. So, get ready to sing, dance, and even karaoke if the mood strikes!

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I grew up in the 80’s watching a tv show on PBS called “The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross”. I never had a paint set or took a professional class. But since then, I fell in love with painting happy little trees and to be able to share that with others today is something very important to me. Overall, I believe you have to start working within your community and reach out to your family, close friends and neighbors. These have all been my biggest supporters up to now and I hope to reach an even broader audience in the future.
