Today we’d like to introduce you to D’Angelo LaVelle.
D’Angelo, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’m a Creative Director and Wardrobe Stylist from Cleveland, OH, now based out of Los Angeles, CA and have been making my mark in the fashion industry for more than ten years now. At an early age, I developed a passion for style and became a tastemaker and arbiter for fashion. Through my many coordinated fashion productions, I discovered my love for story-telling and creative direction and became highly recognized for my innovative and thought-provoking visuals. My goal is to motivate and inspire others to seek and define their purpose; embrace it and strive to live it.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Well I can honestly say the journey hasn’t been easy, but it has been worth it. One of the biggest struggles I’ve faced is maintaining my momentum. Which is the mental, physical, spiritual and emotional energy you invest into a project/production; knowing that you must sustain that level of workload to obtain greater results and higher success that can oftentimes be draining yet motivating if fueled by the right objectives.
Alright – so let’s talk business. What else should we know about you and your career so far?
D’Angelo LaVelle Creations is a Creative Direction/Wardrobe styling production company whose mission is to determine an artistic vision for independent productions that will ensure the success of an aesthetically pleasing message.
Being a spiritually based company, I’m most proud of the individuals who after working with me or viewing one of my projects, have expressed their desires in growing closer to God. In which guiding people to establish a relationship with God is my top priority through anything I work on or produce. In fact, this mission is what I also believe what separates me from others.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success as how purposeful and impactful you are within your endeavors, the influence you have on the youth and community, the inspiration you give someone to believe in their dreams, and the long term growth of your business.
Which my motto is “Your success is determined by your Faith, Perseverance, and the Legacy you leave behind”. One that I assure for myself will be promising.
